This Microsymposium „Materials for the Future“ is concerned with aspects of materials development that reveal great potential for solving pressing future societal problems such as energy-related issues, environmental concerns and/or sustainability of resources. Moreover, new materials for specific niche applications are also of interest in this context. All contributions should emphasize the correlation between micro/nanostructure and properties/performance of such novel materials/composites. Speakers are invited to bring along their manuscript to be reviewed immediately; it is intended to publish all papers in a peer-reviewed international journal.
