8.1. The Effect of Global Change on Carbonate Sedimentary Systems in Present and Past

Print

Conveners: Hildegard Westphal, Wolf-Christian Dullo, Dierk Hebbeln
Session language: English

Topic:
Carbonate sediments act as sensitive archives of environmental change (temperature, hydrology, trophic conditions, etc.). The session "Geobiology of Continental Margins" deals with global change in the present and past and the effect of change on carbonate sedimentary systems both, aerobically and anaerobically formed. We invite contributions presenting study of modern systems, where the environmental conditions are well known, as well as study of ancient carbonate deposits being interpreted in terms of environmental change.
