The application of shallow geothermal systems needs a broad quality management within each phase of a project, including design, completion, operation and deconstruction. Especially in terms of complex geological and hydrogeological conditions, the application of proper drilling techniques and quality management for borehole heat exchangers systems is necessary. Further standardization and structuring with respect to backfill works, etc. are mandatory since such projects include all kind of commitment and liability problems.
